Luciana Scarabello of Fashion Star created a pink structured satin dress with a vibrant floral print on this week’s show. (pictured on botton) The coquettish dress reminded me of a Mary Katrantzou signature piece (one of her pieces pictured on top) with the vibrant print and the very structured capped sleeved shape. Mary Katrantzou is a very hot designer right now, and for good reason. The designer ingenue plays with hype realistic, vibrant prints and silky fabrics to create wearable works of art. Recently Katrantzou collaborated with glam British import Top Shop and creates a line of beautiful clothes with her signature mix of playful prints and bodycon shapes.
I’m going to make a caged petticoat just like this for my own steampunk outfit~

Ordered from Noritaka directly, these shoes took around eight months to be made. Daphne loved them, not-so-much for their practicality, or lack thereof, but because she viewed them as pieces of sculpture, more as concept pieces for looking at – fashion as art.
Oh to be rich and fabulous @_@
